[while they haven't yet really Talked About It, neither of them are able to ignore the terribly strange spark feelings they're getting from the other, and skywarp is definitely hanging around her sister a lot more than she usually does. this in itself is no insignificant feat, and now that the fear of losing nova again as slightly subsided, skywarp seems to have a constant low level ebb of guilt that she only does when nova gets hurt. even so, it disappears eventually! this time it isn't!

she teleports back into their room with cubes and haphazardly throws an unopen one nova's way. maybe today they'll talk about it, maybe they won't.]

Laugh your victory in cards up, Nova. I shall not fall for your vile trickery again! [she jumps up onto the berth where nova is and shakes her wings, putting on a terrible impression of optimus prime.] Delinquent wenchery!

[Nova fumbles the cube from hand to hand for a second or two with a yelp, almost dropping it, only to instantly drop it right into her lap anyway when she falls apart laughing at the impression]

That's-! [Snorting laughter] That's him! It's him! Oh, you even got the way he props his arm out all wide like! Like he's being inflated! Eeheehee!

[She almost starts to ask Warp to do Megatron next, but then suddenly, completely changes her mind and, without the slightest break or pause whatsoever, picks the cube back up and lobs it right at Warp's shoulder]

And quit feeling guilty for something you didn't even do already, GUH, you're making my wings all itchy! [A scowl, but not an a really irritable one so much as concerned] I'm fine, right? I'm okay. I'm here. This isn't like that one time during the war, okay? So you can just- just quit it already. Okay?

Because of his huge dumb ego! Primes were a mistake. I should teleport his head into the garbage.

[she shifts on the slab to sit with her legs hanging off it, pouting once the cube bounces harmlessly off her shoulder.]

I don't exactly have control of how I feel! Every time you tell me to stop I'm just gonna feel it even more! Out of spite!

[Nova immediately sticks out her glossa, then sits up on her knees and and prods Skywarp in the shoulder over and over]

Yeah? Yeah, Warp? Then I'll just have to go and- And I dunno! Beam feelings right into your processor that are reverse you being guilty about me or whatever, it'll be me being so flippin' proud of you that it'll be gross and your head will explode and be even more gross. Energon everywhere, and I'll leave it on your side, too. Let it sink into the crevices and stuff.

Noooo! [she laughs, poking nova storm right back, field vibrating with the affection and love that she's never been afraid to express for her twin, not even when they'd argued or been split up or faced some terrible, terrible things together and came out worse for it.

except when nova jokes about the energon, and she pulls back slightly, looking away.] ...That's gross. Don't joke about that.

[Nova had been giggling and brimming over with her own affection right up until that last moment, when she pulled back at almost exactly the same time too out of the reflexive mirroring of Skywarp's posture, frowning, a fissure of her own guilt snaking through their bond. She was uncharacteristically silent for just a second, awkwardly unsure in a way she very rarely was]

[Then the moment was over, and she flopped against the front of Skywarp's shoulder just so, so their wings didn't bang together in a way they'd perfected for ages upon ages, and deliberately whined overdramatically instead in an attempt at brightening Skywarp's mood again]

"Warp. Warp. Warp. I know what'll cheer you up. How about we go find an autobot and we teleport around making them dizzy like we always used to do, huh?" That always worked in the past when she'd done a dumb!

[she doesn't like making nova feel guilty, but also doesn't really know what to do about this entire situation. skywarp can't just tell her she went and died, apparently, or what happened when she just compulsively turns it away. she doesn't know what to do, and it's annoying.]

No, it's fine. [and she also knows that saying no to this will be very clear that something's off, but she really doesn't have it in her to posture at the moment. not that she's extremely tired or anything, but she's just not in the mood. skywarp tries to express that she's not actually all that upset with nova herself by reaching up and plapping her face a few times with her hand.] We can invent a new card game instead.

[Nova Storm shrinks back slightly on hearing a no, mouth parting unhappily, but she then leans into the face pats with a grumbling noise and sticks out her glossa again, but a strut deep RELIEF sifts through their bond that Skywarp isn't feeling angry with her]

Yeah, okay. Okay. What kinda card game though, making up just the rules or are we drawing new cards too, like we did that one time when we didn't have any? You still color best, if we can steal art crap from somebody.

I feel like drawing.

[she nudges nova with her shoulder, really trying to show her weird mood isn't her fault. even if it kind of is but not actively.]

I'll show you how to do that shading thing.

Okay. And I can draw the expressions, I've always done the looks on the big, goofy faces funny!

Hey... [A pause and a bounce. as if she were about to say something dramatic] You know you're a nerd, right? The biggest. But I guess that's okay because you wouldn't be any fun otherwise.

You are the best at expressions... [she says with a hum, then snorts and looks over to nova, giving her a most obnoxious pout before leaning in to clonk their foreheads together briefly.] Oh yeah? Aren't you always going on about how you're so cool for school and the most un-nerdiest person you've ever seen? How am I meant to compare if I am a lowly little book-muncher?

Nova Storm right? I have a very important mission and I believe you're the only one who can help me.

Thats me, though I also answer to "most perfectly perfect seeker in every way" or y'know, go wild. Have fun with it. So you've got my attention, lightning rod person, gimme the details, gimme me something to work with. I got this.

Lady of the Dazzling Wings! I was assigned your sister Skywarp in the Holiday gift giving event hosted at Macs.

I was hoping you might give me some ideas on what she might like. I'm sure you see why this is of the upmost importance.

Oh ho, you've come to exactly the right person, the one with dazzling wings and the sharpest mind and also the best paint job next to Warp's! But okay. Okay. Listen. If you can't bring the bearings of Wimpimus to her on a silver platter, store bought is probably fine. And that means that if you get her art crap so she can draw him being embarrassed and junk herself, she'd be over the moon. We've never got to have stuff of our own in forever, so she'd be over a squillion moons about it. (Also if you manage to get an audio recording of wimpimus wimp saying something dumb she'd like that, too, just saying, just throwing it out there!)

Nova Storm I knew you were the correct person to go to for this, you haven't failed me.

In fact I think you've given me a tremendous idea. You know the Mall that's currently close enough to Shuttle to? Well when I was there I discovered a store that will print any picture on anything. Anything at all. The possibilities are endless but there is one that stands above the rest.

I'm afraid I must ask you one final thing. There are a good handful on this ship it seems who have that name. Which one in particular brings you two the most joy to mock?

I always do amazing at everything I have ever done, this isn't new! But thanks anyway~ Okay. Okay. You get me in every way, so you will understand me on a processor to processor wavelength when I say the Wimpimus you want is the really really tall one who probably hangs out in that dippy plant lab the Megadork that is from where we are was exploded in. (A long, hilarious story) I trust you with this crucial task, yadda yadda yadda. Go out and cause mayhem!

[A trilling laugh and lifting up her leg to poke Skywarp with her pede]

Listen, you can be good at all the boring stuff and people will be all 'Ooooh Warp you're so clever and talented and also the best, but Nova Storm is right over there, which is obvious because she's slightly taller!'

Nyerrgh! Nasty jet-boots! [she pushes the foot away, but she's still laughing.] I guess you are a fraction of a millimetre taller, weirdo.

[skywarp nudges nova with her own boot.]

You can be good at this too.

[Another rush of giggle-snorting laughter. She doesn't bother to push the pede away and instead pulls it and Skywarp's other foot across her lap so they can both recline with the casual nonchalance of long experience sharing space]

I could, maybe possibly. It's yours, though! [A pout] You're allowed to have your own stuff, y'know. That isn't mine. I was reading humanformer stuff and twins worry about that kinda stuff? I don't, but! Maybe you do! And you shouldn't have to!

[she prefers it more like this. imagine being some kind of idiot that lives alone, or spends a couple days with a huge gap in their spark! haha! can't be skywarp.]

I don't. It's just putting a dumb pen on a tablet and moving it around! We both got way cooler stuff! I got my teleporting and you got your speed! Humans are wrong about everything and stupid!

[lazily, she reaches out and grasps for nova storm's hand, bringing a datapad and pen out her subspace. they're both new-- evidently she's grabbed them since they've been on the ship. skywarp pushes the pen into nova's hand.]

Go, go, go, go, go, gogogogogogogogo do art!

[Nova wrinkles her nasal ridge with a laugh, but takes the supplies without hesitation and bends to work]

[Her art isn't as polished as Skywarp's, but she's laughing and wiggling happily as she draws. It's hard getting things to look the way they do in her head, but maybe that isn't the point? She bites lightly on the tip of her glossa when she gets to her favorite part, making goofy expressions!]

[When she's done, she turns the datapad around so Skywarp can see its drawing of the Optimus Prime from their universe with his head jammed in a toilet, with Skywarp landed on the back of his helmet, having evidently jammed him into it]

Look look look! I did it! [She beams a smile and wiggles again before shoving the datapad and pen right back at Skywarp] Your turn! Do the colors, go go go go!

[skywarp watches it all come together happily, offering the occasional pointer when nova seems to get hung up on a particular detail. she's not really professional with it, as it's just something she taught herself to do during the war to pass the time, but it's fun and enjoyable to do with her sister which is kind of the point.

she's almost clinging to nova's back by the time she's done, with how she's peering over her shoulder.]

Okay, okay! Haha, it looks so good! I can see your artistique vision! I gotta find a way to make this a reality now Lameatron isn't around to fight a whole-ass Battle of the Bay 2: Battle of the Toilet over it.

[Skywarp falls into another peal of laughter at the joke, curling against Skywarp and pushing lightly at her twin's face with a giggle]

Battle of the Toilet! Yeah! Yeah, you gotta! Just think of the look on his smug face when it gets jammed in!

[A broad smile as she adds:] Wait wait wait, wait, what if you can get him doing one of those dippy speech things right when you do it, about responsibility to the species or whatever. It'll be the best, all cathartic and junk.

Oh, mech, you should've seen his face the first few times I dumped huge slushees from the bar onto him. I didn't get a picture but it was like--

[she pulls back and puts her hands on her cheeks to pull her expression down into an extremely over the top frown.]

--This! But, also, ugly. Because he's ugly. I'll get a picture next time!
